402 #1 - Dust Echoes

Hailing from Australia, Dust Echoes is a government funded series of animated shorts created around a decade ago that tell aboriginal mythology (also known as 'Dreamtime' stories). The entire list of videos can be found at https://education.abc.net.au/home#!/digibook/2570774/dust-echoes

One of the videos is the Whirlpool Song, an simplistic semi-abstract 3D animation that shows the mythology behind a tribe of fresh-water people that stay silent. It has a lovely style and shows much of its story through visuals.

Another is a 2D animation called Namorrodor that is based around the titular boogeyman-like creature that aboriginal parents would tell their children to stop them cooking food at night, which would attract predators.

The following animation is a semi-sequel to Namorrodor called The Curse that shows a classic good vs. evil fight between a witch doctor how summons Namorrodor and a medicine woman and her family. 

A 2D animation called The Be was a simplistic looking piece on family and community.

The Spear is a very beautiful 2D animation centered around a hunter's magic spear and the jealous witch doctor who tries to steal it. Essentially the tale is meant to teach forgiveness and redemption.

The Bat and The Butterfly is a claymation around the mythological origins of bats and butterflies. The animation explains how a hunter in a tribe kidnapped a kind woman and kept her captive in a cave. To escape, she turned into a butterfly and in his rage he turned into a bat. She was rescued by the rest of the tribe and the bat was forced to stay in the cave.
